The pharmaceutical industry is growing as new life-saving and life-enhancing medications are introduced every day. If you are looking to become an eligible candidate in this expanding field, a diploma from Kaplan College can prepare you for that opportunity.
At Kaplan College, our pharmacy technician program can provide you with the administrative and technical knowledge and skills necessary to set you on this career path. A diploma from our program can give you the education needed to seek entry-level positions in a retail pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, residential pharmacy, or other pharmaceutical facility. Some of the professional duties you may be responsible for can include assisting a licensed pharmacist in direct patient care, preparing and managing prescriptions and medications, overseeing collections and billing, purchasing pharmaceuticals, and maintaining confidentiality of patient and proprietary business information.
Our program is designed to prepare eligible students for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination (PTCE) sponsored by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) and for a Pharmacy Technician license from the California State Board of Pharmacy.*
